# Go available, on break, and after-call work

> The states you move through as an agent — available, on break, after-call work — and the buttons that change them.

Your state controls whether Get2Dial sends you calls. Here's what each one means and how to
change it.

## The states

| State | What it means | How you get there |
| ------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | --------------------------------------- |
| **Offline** | You're signed in but not taking calls | Select **Log out** from any state |
| **Available** | You can receive calls | Select **Log in** (from offline) |
| **Busy**      | You're on a call                                                               | Automatic — you can't set this yourself |
| **Wrap-up** | The call ended and you're finishing up (recording a disposition, taking notes) | Automatic, right after a call ends |
| **Break**     | You've stepped away                                                            | Select **Break** (from available)       |

## Change your state

* Select **Break** to step away, and **Resume** when you're back.
* **Wrap-up** ends on its own once you record a disposition. If a call has no disposition to
  record, select **Done** when you're ready for your next call.
* Select **Log out** to go offline at the end of your shift.

<Tip>
  Keyboard shortcuts: **1** for available/resume, **2** for break, **3** to finish wrap-up.
</Tip>

## Why it matters

You only receive calls while **Available**. Staying in **Break** or **Wrap-up** longer than
you need to means your team has one fewer person taking calls — your supervisor can see how
long you've been in each state.
