# Message your team

> Send a direct message or start a group chat with your teammates, right from your Get2Dial workspace.

Message a teammate or a group without leaving your workspace.

## Steps

    In the left navigation, select **Chat**.

    Select **New conversation**, then search for a person to message them directly, or add
    more than one person to start a group.

  <Step title="Write your message">
    Type and send. Type `@` followed by a name to mention someone directly, or reply to a
    specific message to quote it. You can also react to a message and pin one that matters.

## Verify

  Your message appears in the thread, and you can see whether the other person is currently
  online.

## Common problems

* **You can't message another agent.** You can always message a supervisor or admin — that's
  always available. Messaging another agent directly needs two things: your admin has turned
  peer-to-peer chat on for the workspace, and you share a campaign with that agent.
* **You can message some agents but not others.** You only share campaign assignment with
  some of them — peer chat is scoped to people you actually work with.
