# Set up your headset and audio

> Sign in to Get2Dial and set up your microphone and speakers so you're ready before your first call comes in.

Before you take a call, make sure Get2Dial can hear you and you can hear it.

## Steps

<Steps>
  <Step title="Sign in">
    Go to `app.get2dial.com` and sign in with the email and password your supervisor gave
    you.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Allow microphone access">
    Your browser will ask for microphone permission the first time. Select **Allow** — if
    you don't, your device names stay hidden and you can't be heard on calls.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Go to your audio settings">
    Go to **Settings > Audio & softphone**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose your devices">
    Choose your headset under **Microphone**. Set **Call audio output** to your headset too
    — that's where you'll hear the person you're talking to. Set **Ringer output** to your
    laptop speakers if you want to hear incoming calls even when your headset is off.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Test your ringer">
    Select **Test ring** to confirm you can hear it.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  If your browser isn't Chrome, Edge, or another Chromium-based browser, you can only choose
  your microphone here — call and ringer audio use whatever your computer's system settings
  point to.
</Note>

## Verify

<Check>
  **Test ring** plays audibly, and your microphone shows as selected. Your settings are
  saved automatically and stay on this device — you'll need to set them up again if you sign
  in from a different computer.
</Check>

## Common problems

* **No devices show up.** You haven't granted microphone access yet — check your browser's
  site permissions for `app.get2dial.com`.
* **You can't hear the ring.** Confirm **Ringer output** isn't pointed at a device you're not
  wearing.
* **Nothing works.** See
  [Agent troubleshooting: audio and device problems](/troubleshooting/audio-problems).
