# Use a script during a call

> Open your campaign's script during a call, automatically filled in with your lead's own details, not generic placeholder text.

If your campaign has a script attached, you can open it during a call — filled in with the
lead's own details, not generic placeholder text.

## Steps

<Steps>
  <Step title="Look for View Script">
    While you're on a call, select **View Script** if it's showing. If your campaign doesn't
    use a script, you won't see this button at all.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Read the script">
    It opens in a panel with the lead's name and other details already filled in.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Keep talking">
    Nothing you do in the script panel affects the call — it's a reference only. Close it
    anytime and reopen it while the call continues.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Common problems

* **No View Script button.** Your campaign doesn't have a script attached — ask your
  administrator if you expect one.
* **A detail shows up wrong or blank.** The script pulls from this lead's own data — if a
  field is missing on the lead record, it shows blank rather than guessing.
