# Recording notice and consent

> What Get2Dial does and doesn't do around call-recording notice and consent, and where you turn recording on.

Get2Dial can record a campaign's calls. Whether and how you notify the people on those calls
is a decision the product deliberately leaves to you.

<Snippet file="recording-consent-notice.mdx" />

## How it works

Recording is a per-campaign, all-or-nothing setting — every call in a campaign with it turned
on is recorded, every call in a campaign with it off is not. There's no per-call or per-agent
override.

## When to use it

Turn recording on for campaigns where you need it for QA, dispute resolution, or your own
compliance record-keeping. Weigh it against your notice obligations before you do — see the
note above.

## What it affects

Recording is set when you [create or edit a campaign](/outbound/campaigns/create-a-campaign),
and it drives both [call recordings](/reports/call-recordings) (playback and export) and
[call evaluation](/supervise/quality/evaluate-a-call) (QA scoring requires a recording to
exist).
