# Get started as an agent

> The pages to read first before your first shift taking and placing calls in the Get2Dial agent workspace.

You take and place calls in Get2Dial. These are the pages to read before your first shift.

## Start here

1. **[Take your first call](/get-started/quickstart-agent)** — a guided path through your
   first shift, start to finish.
2. **[Set up your headset and audio](/agent/sign-in-and-audio-setup)** — do this before your
   first call, not during it.
3. **[Go available, on break, and after-call work](/agent/agent-states)** — what each state
   means and how to change it.
4. **[Answer, hold, transfer, and end a call](/agent/handle-a-call)** — the controls you have
   during a call.
5. **[Set a disposition](/agent/set-a-disposition)** — recording what happened before your
   next call.

## When you need it

* **[Use a script during a call](/agent/use-a-script)** — if your campaign has one.
* **[Audio problems](/troubleshooting/audio-problems)** — if you can't hear or be heard.
* **[Glossary](/reference/glossary)** — when a term on screen isn't one you recognize.
