# Search call detail records

> Find, filter, and export the call detail record for any call in your workspace, to confirm what happened.

Every call in your workspace produces a call detail record (CDR). Find one to confirm what
happened, when, and why.

## Steps

<Steps>
  <Step title="Go to Call records">
    In the left navigation, select **Call records**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Filter, if you're looking for something specific">
    Filter by **Disposition**, **SIP code**, or a date range.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Read a record">
    Each row shows **Time** (with time zone), **Direction**, **From → To**, **Status**,
    **Duration**, **Hangup cause**, and the raw **SIP** response and call **Trace**. **Status**
    always reads **Completed** once a record exists — it confirms the record was written, not
    the call's outcome. For what actually happened, read **Hangup cause** and the SIP code —
    see [Hangup causes](/reference/hangup-causes).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Export, if you need the data elsewhere">
    Select **Export CSV**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Verify

<Check>
  A call you placed or received appears here within moments, with a **Status** and
  **Hangup cause** that match what actually happened on the call.
</Check>

## Common problems

* **A call you expected isn't here.** It might not have reached Get2Dial at all — see
  [Outbound calls fail](/troubleshooting/outbound-calls-fail) or
  [Inbound calls not arriving](/troubleshooting/inbound-calls-not-arriving).
* **The hangup cause doesn't make sense.** See the [glossary](/reference/glossary) for
  common SIP response codes.
