Retention is platform-managed, not a workspace setting — there’s no screen in Get2Dial where
you set or view your own retention period. If your obligations require a specific retention
or deletion schedule, discuss it with your account team.
How it works
Each data category — call detail records, recordings, voicemail, agent state history, and audit logs — has its own default retention period, currently 365 days, after which Get2Dial’s policy is to retain rather than delete: nothing is purged automatically by default. Audit logs specifically can never have a shorter retention than the platform default, for any workspace — that floor isn’t adjustable, by you or by Get2Dial on your request.Confirmed directly against production (2026-08-18): automatic archival and purging are not
running for any workspace today. Every storage class is still in its shipped-inert state,
and no workspace has a retention override in place. If a specific retention or deletion
schedule matters for your compliance obligations, treat it as a support conversation, not
something the product is currently doing on your behalf.
When to use it
You don’t configure this — it’s here so you can answer a customer, auditor, or security questionnaire about how long your data is kept, and know where the boundary of your control is.What it affects
- Call detail records — see Search call detail records.
- Recordings — see Find and play call recordings.
- Audit logs — see Search the audit log.
