Add a phone number to your workspace. This makes the number known to Get2Dial; a separate step points it at somewhere to ring.

Before you start

Steps

1

Go to Phone numbers

In the left navigation, select Phone numbers, then select Add number.
2

Enter the number

Enter the Phone number (E.164), for example +442012345678.
3

Add a label

Enter a Label you’ll recognize, such as “Main sales line”.
4

Set the status

Set Status to Active. Use Inactive to keep a number in your workspace without it accepting calls yet.
5

Fill in caller ID and location, if you have them

Enter a Caller ID name (CNAM), a Country ISO code, a Provider label, and any Notes — all optional.
6

Save the number

Select Save.

Verify

The number appears in Phone numbers. Check its Edge trust column — a healthy number reads Trusted. Any other value means the number can’t reliably receive calls yet, usually because its carrier isn’t active or approved — see Connect a SIP carrier.
Adding a number does not make it ring anywhere. The Routes to column stays empty until you create a matching routing rule — see Route an inbound number.

Common problems

  • Edge trust doesn’t say Trusted. This reflects the number’s carrier, not the number itself — confirm that carrier is Active and Approved and configured for inbound traffic. See Connect a SIP carrier.
  • The number won’t save. Confirm it’s in E.164 format — a leading + and country code, no spaces or punctuation.
