A call connects, but you can’t hear the other person, they can’t hear you, or neither of you can hear anything.

Quick checks

  • Have you granted microphone access to app.get2dial.com in your browser?
  • Are the right devices selected in Settings > Audio & softphone?

Cause: microphone permission was never granted

How to check: Look for a permission prompt or a blocked-microphone icon in your browser’s address bar. How to fix: Allow microphone access, then reload the page. See Set up your headset and audio.

Cause: the wrong device is selected

How to check: Go to Settings > Audio & softphone and check Microphone and Call audio output. How to fix: Select your actual headset for both, not a built-in laptop mic or speaker. Select Rescan devices if your headset was plugged in after you opened the page.

Cause: your browser doesn’t support output device routing

How to check: If you’re not on a Chromium-based browser (Chrome, Edge), only the microphone picker has any effect — call and ringer audio always use your operating system’s default output device. How to fix: Change your system’s default output device instead, or switch to a Chromium-based browser.

Cause: your network is blocking call audio

How to check: If you can make it through this list and audio still doesn’t work, your network (a strict corporate firewall or VPN, most often) might be blocking the media connection even though signaling works. How to fix: Try a different network to confirm, then work with whoever manages your network to allow outbound media traffic.
